Ingredients

Scale

Bread

  • 12 slices Bread (white or sourdough) – Toasted

Meat

  • 8 slices Turkey breast – Sliced
  • 8 strips Bacon – Cooked until crispy
  • 4 slices Ham (optional)

Vegetables & Others

  • 4 leaves Iceberg lettuce – Washed and dried
  • 2 Tomatoes – Sliced into thick rounds
  • 1/4 Red onion – Thinly sliced into rings
  • 1 Avocado (optional) – Sliced
  • 4 tbsp Mayonnaise – For spreading
  • Salt & Pepper – To season tomatoes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Toast Bread: Toast 12 slices of bread until golden brown. Allow them to cool slightly so they don’t become soggy but keep them warm for easy assembly.
  2. Prep Ingredients: Cook the bacon strips until crispy. Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds, wash and dry the iceberg lettuce leaves, and slice the red onion thinly into rings. Prepare any spreads and condiments you intend to use.
  3. Assemble First Layer: Spread mayonnaise on the first slice of toasted bread. Add a full layer of lettuce, then layer on the turkey slices, and top with crispy bacon strips.
  4. Add Second Layer: Place the second slice of toast on top of the first layer, spreading mayonnaise on both sides of this slice. Then add more lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and season the tomatoes with a dash of salt and pepper for extra flavor.
  5. Final Assembly: Top the sandwich with the final slice of toast. Press gently to keep the sandwich together, insert four toothpicks into the corners to secure all layers, and cut diagonally into four triangles for easy serving.
  6. Serve Sandwich: Serve the assembled club sandwich immediately to enjoy the crisp toasted bread with the fresh and savory fillings.

Notes

  • Optional ingredients like ham and avocado add extra flavor and creaminess but can be omitted based on preference.
  • For a crispier bacon texture, cook bacon on a wire rack in the oven or pan-fry until golden and crunchy.
  • Using mayonnaise on both sides of the middle toast slice helps keep the sandwich moist and flavorful without sogginess.
  • Make sure vegetables are fresh and properly dried to avoid excess moisture in the sandwich.
  • Use toothpicks to hold the sandwich layers together, making it easier to handle and cut.
