Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 slider rolls
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 12 dill pickle slices

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Cook Beef Mixture: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onion, cooking while breaking the beef apart regularly until fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess grease, stir in Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble Sliders: Split the slider rolls horizontally and lay the bottom halves in a baking dish. Layer the cooked beef mixture on the rolls, then top with slices of American cheese and dill pickles.
  4. Add Condiments: Spread ketchup and mustard evenly over the inside of the top halves of the rolls, then place these tops over the assembled bottoms.
  5. Prepare Topping and Brush: Mix garlic salt into the melted butter until dissolved. Brush this garlic butter over the tops of the sliders and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
  6. Bake: Bake the sliders in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute American cheese with cheddar or your favorite melting cheese if preferred.
  • Make sure to drain excess grease from the beef to avoid greasy sliders.
  • For a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture or spread some spicy mustard on the rolls.
  • Sesame seeds on top add a nice texture but can be omitted if unavailable or for allergy concerns.
  • Use fresh Hawaiian rolls for best flavor and texture.
