Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 2 cans of refrigerated crescent rolls

Meats & Cheese

  • 1/2 pound sliced ham
  • 1/2 pound sliced salami
  • 1/2 pound sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

Vegetables & Seasonings

  • 1/2 cup banana pepper rings, drained
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, drained and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Optional Garnishes

  • Lettuce slices
  • Tomato slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Layer Base: Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, making sure to seal all the seams so the fillings won’t leak out during baking.
  3. Add Fillings: Layer the ham, salami, provolone cheese, pepperoni, banana pepper rings, and roasted red peppers evenly over the dough, spreading the flavors throughout the base.
  4. Season & Top: Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese over the layered ingredients. Drizzle olive oil evenly on top to add richness and help the crust become golden.
  5. Top Crust: Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully cover the filling, pressing and sealing the edges securely so the bake stays intact during cooking.
  6. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the crescent dough turns a gorgeous golden brown and puffs up slightly.
  7. Serve: Allow the sandwich bake to cool slightly before slicing into squares. Optionally top with fresh lettuce and tomato slices for added crunch and freshness.
  8. Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy the delicious medley of Italian meats, cheeses, and veggies enveloped in flaky crescent rolls.

Notes

  • You can substitute or add other Italian cold cuts like capicola or mortadella for more variety.
  • Roasted red peppers and banana peppers add a sweet and tangy bite, but you can adjust the quantity to your taste or omit if preferred.
  • For a crispier crust, brush the top dough layer with a little extra olive oil before baking.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven to retain flakiness.
  • Serve with a side salad or marinara sauce for dipping to round out the meal.
