Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Mixture

  • 500 g ground chicken
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)

Tacos & Toppings

  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1/2 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp bacon bits
  • Avocado oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a bowl, thoroughly mix the ground chicken with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined to ensure even seasoning.
  2. Assemble the Tortillas: On the back side of each flour tortilla, spread a thin and even layer of the seasoned ground chicken, pressing it down firmly to adhere well to the tortilla.
  3. Cook the Chicken-Tortilla Combo: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of avocado oil. Place the tortillas chicken-side down in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked. Flip the tortillas and cook the other side until crisp.
  4. Prepare the Toppings: While the tortillas cook, chop the romaine lettuce and have Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and bacon bits ready for assembling.
  5. Assemble the Tacos: Remove the cooked tortillas from the skillet. Top each with fresh romaine lettuce, a drizzle of Caesar dressing, a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, and crispy bacon bits.
  6. Serve: Fold up the tacos and serve immediately to enjoy the crispy chicken texture combined with the fresh and savory Caesar salad flavors.

Notes

  • Use avocado oil for cooking because of its high smoke point and neutral flavor.
  • For a gluten-free option, substitute the flour tortillas with corn or gluten-free tortillas.
  • To make it lower calorie, use light Caesar dressing and reduce the amount of cheese and bacon bits.
  • Toss the Caesar salad ingredients in advance if preferred to blend the flavors before assembling the tacos.
  • Make sure to cook the chicken thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for food safety.
